Hype-rock pair Zeroz has returned with the excitable new single ‘The Stupid Song’, the first track release to follow their 2023 album LOL, which saw their signature sound highlighted by the music press. The track brings glitchy soundscapes and bold alt-rock tendencies, with supernatural vocals, charged-up, noisy guitar riffs and busy drum arrangements, creating eerie verses and wall of sound choruses.

It takes inspiration from the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, its themes lifted from a character interaction in the show, where, as Zeroz shares, “the character Asuka Langley Soryu insults co-character Shinji Ikari, calling him ‘stupid’ whilst repeatedly asking him “Are you stupid?”

Formed in 2018, Atlas Helicopter and Z make up the drums and vocals of Zeroz, and their two albums so far have both delivered truly unique songwriting. With another on the horizon for 2025, it’ll be interesting to see where this act goes next.
