Seattle-based artist, “Cooper Castelle” released his new song “You were the one” earlier in June, set to be a part of his upcoming album that will be released in August. Though he had 2 musicians to help him with Electric guitar and Bass for his songs, Castelle himself did the vocals, acoustic guitar, drums and keyboards for this song!
At first listen, the song seemed like a perfect concoction of Buzzcocks and Pixies! The vocals are banging, the drums are super smooth to the ear and beautiful fills. Just 3 minutes and 30 seconds of pure rock n’roll. I love the outro where it just fades into the background, reminiscent of 80’s and 90’s songs.
All in all, i just found my new favorite alternative artist, and I cannot wait for Castelle to release his EP “Welcome to my world” set to release this August 2022. If all the songs will be like “You were the one”, then this EP will definitely make numbers for Castelle!
