Betty Reed, an alt-rock artist from Nashville, released her new single “Without you”. Reed collaborated with Nashville-based producer Evan Redwine for this single.

The thing that really drew me to the single was the cover art! Reed looks like an absolute girl-boss on the cover, exuding confidence and a bad-ass attitude. At first listen, I couldn’t help but to fall in love with Reed’s harmonious voice, which compliments the song, along with those banging drums. I absolutely loved the message that she is trying to send, which is to leave the people who hold you back and break free from them! Also, love the “love yourself” message that’s embedded into the lyrics. It radiates the same vibes as “I will survive” by Gloria Gaynor, with the same empowering lyrics and girl-boss attitude.

All in all, I absolutely enjoyed listening to this song, and I cannot wait for the music video!
