While My Guitar Gently Beeps is a loud creative scream against the music industry’s current situation, in the freest punk-ish attitude. The fast roller-coaster riffs with melodic guitars that break its intensity, crazily pounding drums, and fat groovy bass lines all blend together in a systematically chaotic structure that keeps you hooked till the end. It has an overall playful layer laid over its influential multi-layered writing and extremely dynamic structure, it even gets a massive energy boost after that brilliant “Black Strat auction” interlude. The raw aggressiveness that came after that interlude was pretty much needed at this point, and marked a dynamic eruption that -I believe- SpünDay were building the song towards. The mellow groovy outro was a little bit surprising, and what was even more impressive was the way they steered toward that outro, seamless and smooth.
While My Guitar Gently Beeps is an extremely energetic, attacking piece by SpünDay. It shows their attitude and unique character in terms of writing, production, and delivery, and it’s really amazing how they kept this relentlessly going throughout all the heavy and melodic shifts without losing focus or stamina.
