Have you ever been in a relationship where your partner was so in love with you that they wanted to eat you up, but sadly, it ended with them ripping your heart apart? You’re fortunate, however, that this scenario was not literal! In Higgs Field’s “Us Forever,” you’ll meet a bloody, freakish love that will make you grateful for your own dramatic story.

In February, many releases are themed around love and Valentine’s Day, and in their single, “Us Forever,” the Australian band Higgs Field also depicts a love narrative, but it’s not the typical kind. When listened to carefully, it can be considered an anti-Valentine’s Day song, and you get to vibe along with its furious sound and breathtaking delivery.

Higgs Field is an Alt-Rock and Metal band located in Mount Gambier. The act consists of Bradley Frost, Kyle Gleed, Liam Brown, and Dee Leggett. These guys have energy and charisma that make their music addictive. They go with a heavy approach through instrumentation and performance, which could effortlessly reach the core of any rock fan.

“Us Forever” opens softly with mellow chords, and once the vocals enter, the heat goes up. The guitar riffs go insane, especially in the solo part that sets the scene on fire and fills one tank till it pours. The dynamic drums and tight bassline complement the guitar playing and the solid, surly vocal line, conveying an aggressive ambient tone. The energizing melody and rhythm would set the mood for a Jane Austen novel, but as it progresses, the hard-core grooves make one realize that it sounds more like Stephen King’s horrifying one.

The single’s title and first verse may fool some into thinking it’s a love song, but they hint through its killer sound that its actual theme is about an actual killer. Cunning, right? The quartet adopted a true story as their single’s theme and spiced it up with their smashing musicality and raucous vocal performance. They know how to utilize every element to build an atmosphere that sounds both affectionate and creepy.

To get a sense of all of that, just hit the play button and enjoy the twist!
