Electronic with a band feel, eccentric trio band Occurrence make a hazey, smooth sailing track called ‘Universe Moves So Fast’, which combines some really interesting sonic contrasts that are all the taste and spice in the world. Based in New York, Occurrence will release this song on the 21st of February, as a part of their upcoming album after a pandemic hiatus, called ‘Slow violence’. With their past works bound in strangely unique and creative names, inspirations and  concepts, They are definitely a music force that is not to be missed.

This song is catchy, diverse and dynamic at heart with the transitions and mixing of elements. You’ve got a pure electronic track but it gives you the feeling of rock into the mix which is a weirdly satisfying cocktail. At first, the song is very  fast paced, extremely high energy with an electronic sound that is almost like an electric guitar note cut in half, that is so hardcore and jaw dropping from heat. With that in mind, still the beat is considered mellow, especially after the smooth transition in a much slower electronic soundscape and a very slowed bl introduction of vocals that are similar to the ones sung by artists in psychedelic rock that give off a very calm, warm and hazey vibe. This creates a huge contrast to the fact that the lyrics are saying that the universe moves so fast. The overall sound of the song is friendly, high in energy and makes you want to dance. The musical arrangement is rich, with the inclusion of subtle drums and shaking effects. It seems that all the sound effects are in one big melting pot. The whole idea of the song is brilliant and it seems that the upcoming album will be one of a kind!
