The Brisbane-based Australian band, The Dream Spiral, recently unveiled a remarkable alternative pop-rock track named ‘Trigger to My Head,’ setting it apart from other tunes in the Alt-Rock-Pop genre this year. Let’s delve into why this track stands out.

I’ve been fortunate to receive several recent Australian releases, mostly rock and metal; however, The Dream Spiral’s ‘Trigger to My Head’ stands out as unique among them. The song masterfully blends alternative, rock, and pop elements, incorporating captivating electronica/industrial vibes.

‘Trigger to My Head’ was released on May 9th as a preview from their upcoming album “Unholy,” scheduled for release in June. As per the band’s press info, their album draws inspiration from early 90’s Depeche Mode while infusing modern influences, a blend they have executed flawlessly. The group of five sticks to a concise yet melodic and catchy approach, which I found appealing.

I’ve noticed a recent scarcity of industrial/synth bands, making me eager to experience The Dream Spiral’s album “Unholy” upon its release. I believe they are on the path to becoming one of the most influential rock acts in the future. Cheers to that!
