All the way from California, USA comes a sonic-psychedelic experience…an audio/visual trip from the musical duo Movie Club titled “Thresher”…let’s jump in and see how that one goes…
This is the fifth year for the musical duo Movie Club and “Thresher” is the second single this year, so far…they just finished headlining a national tour and now their getting ready for their monday night residency at Hollywood rock venue Harvard & Stone.
“Thresher” released alongside its music video…the visuals are a fusion between two extremes…the video is black and white, while the graphical elements are all in pure psychedelic 70s colors…it’s all there.
The music on the other side is focusing on the psychedelic rock direction…so you have an energetic drum beat…and it’s a fast one…while the guitar riffs are heavy, with some ambient-ish lines thrown in the mix…
The guitar riffs can get a bit dark…and if you’re like me, you’ll enjoy this mood…and the whole musical experience keeps building up from the first second till the last second of the track…and it’s an instrumental one, so the music keeps going up with no restrictions for a vocalist…there are no boundaries…
The whole building-up element of the song tells a story for sure…but that story can be anything you’re experiencing right now…and let me tell you this, “Thresher” keeps pumping more gas and keeps going harder and harder till it reaches its explosive finale.
