Emerging from Denver, Thousand Frames as a band has been active since 2017, though taking a hiatus that saw them re-appear with a newfound sense of urgency in 2023. Still finding new avenues in their creative process, the metalcore three-piece is going from strength to strength.

Their latest release comes alongside Gerald Albright in a track that brings together the energising swirl of improvised saxophones and atmospheric synths alongside the gritty nature of pure guitar distortion.

‘Nothing’ opens with a delicate, echoey guitar, before exploding into fuzzy, high-pitched synths and roaring guitar riffs. The blend of raw metal exposure and intricate, more digital processing is always an infectious, effervescent sound. Pained vocal performances that dart between vulnerable and ferocious, drums that balance rattle with pounding cinematic status and an overall sense of fiery catharsis, the track, like the trio, is brimming with forward momentum.

The band add, “‘Nothing’ is a song about breaking free from the cycles that hold you back, allowing you to create your own life story. We hope it resonates with those who are working hard to forge their own paths.”
