Theo Moss’ initial singles have quickly caught ears, the artist steadily unveiling a debut EP, her first step into alternative music after 12 years studying violin. Collaborating with producer Gabe Wax (Soccer Mommy, Quinnie and Junior Varsity), Theo Moss looks to reflect on her life, finding empowerment in her writing.

Her second single, brooding track ‘The Garden’s Burning’, starts with a bouncy drum line and simple distorted riffs, Theo’s silky vocals are initially in contrast to the darker tones, making the sound that bit brighter as the first verse gets underway. The unsettling before the chorus makes the moment it hits all the more heavy, Theo taking hold of a sea of guitars as her vocals entice and coax the listener into the music.

Blending 90s moments with a fresh, unique direction, there’s plenty more to come from Theo Moss, and she is certainly not an artist to be ignored.

Theo Moss explains the background of the release, “It’s about a complicated relationship with a friend and Los Angeles. I wanted the chorus to be chaotic and represent the anxiety that comes with not having the person you can be your complete self with in your life anymore.”
