On the 27th of July 2023, the Paris-based one man band Mouse Man dropped the single The Birth. A groovy tight musical journey with hooking twists and turns that’ll keep you on board. Let me tell you more about it.
Mouse Man kicks off The Birth with a groovy bassline and screaming punk-ish guitars before stepping in with his raw intimidating vocals. He smoothly takes his sound to the next dynamic level with a subtle progression, leading us into an escalating chorus that leads to some bluesy, extremely enjoyable guitar work that clearly shows Mouse Man‘s musicianship and skills. I love how theatrical The Birth‘s sound gets towards the end, it takes a big turn that shows another side of Mouse Man‘s writing, resulting in an interesting structure with unpredictable well-connected sound shifts that surely will keep the listeners hooked and entertained.
The Birth is a fluid catchy tune with loads of interesting layers and amazing guitar work by Mouse Man. It shows his well-knowledge of his sound and direction, as well as his writing skills and how he mixes them all together with his creative touch, producing something that’s his very own.
