Yes, it’s just as what came into your mind. It all started with the legendary Jimmy Page’s unique double-neck guitar; EDS-1275, when he popularized it in his masterpiece ‘Stairway to Heaven’. However, before that, another legend tried it out in the early 70s; the jazz-rock musician John McLaughlin.


In the 80s, more heavy metal musicians tried to deliver something new to their fans, either with their music or by guitar shapes; as we can see in the figure below, the 4-neck guitar by Michael Angelo Batio and Steve Vai’s heart guitar.
