Take a ride back in time to the glamorous and edgy darkness of 70s glam rock, with a hint of Bond mystique, and a production job that’s balanced and deliciously punchy. Roxx Revolt’s latest single  ‘Sexcent’ is positively terrific.

Based in Miami, Florida, Roxx Revolt do not conform to any musical stereotypes, opting instead to take their listeners by the scruff of the neck, drilling their riffs and intense aggression right into the back of their heads. ‘Sexcent’ is a manic collection of crazed yelps and immensely charismatic riffs arranged together into a cohesive song.

Truth be said, as brash as they seem to want to come across, there can be no denying that ‘Sexcent’ is a rather sophisticated song. Tightly written with catchy hooks and motifs, brilliantly mixed, and full to the brim with fantastic performances. From frontwoman Roxx Revolt to the battering, pounding beats of Devin Lashbrook, and from Jake Shockley’s superbly distorted riffing to the solid backbeat of Chris Campo’s balanced and driving bassline, the dirty and gritty ‘Sexcent’ is a vivid, glam punk banger.

Roxx Revolt’s music is downright infectious on ‘Sexcent’, a song that does not relent, delivering one mad section after another, all the while displaying rather an inexplicable tastefulness and control.
