Segadoras is one of the well known Melodic Death Metal bands in Egypt. It was the first band that opened the new year with a new release. Their latest track, ‘The Undefeated’, was the first Egyptian Metal release in 2016. They released it on the 4th of Jan. The track was performed in their latest concert “”Groovy Beasts Metal Concert”” and Ahmed Safwan the vocalist of Black Swan Theory performed the track with them live on stage.
The track opens with dynamic guitar sounds with some drum breaks and screams, you can distinguish the electronic/symphonic touches in the melodies in the first minutes. The first part of the track until 1:14 is really strong and attractive, I like the harmony and organized conversation between the instruments and the vocals. The vocals are really powerful. From 1:15 until 2:01, it is the climax of the track, the hardest and speediest part in it.
Emotional calm guitar tunes with the charming clean voice of Ahmed Safwan. This part steals the heart and the soul before the ears. Ahmed Safwan‘s voice gives the track an emotional human taste. He makes the track have an atmosphere of life and variety. Then the atmosphere of the track turns to the harsh, speedy part with a variety of vocals. The sounds of the bass is the bridge between both parts at 3:37. The track has 2 solos: the first is at 4:18 and the second is at 5:28.
To sum up, ‘The Undefeated’ is a great start for Egyptian Metal releases in 2016. It is really a remarkable one. The harmony between the instruments, vocals and effects was great. The riffs are really powerful, dynamic, and catchy. I like that they added the clean vocals of Ahmed Safwan, it is a great choice. The bass lines are clear and brilliant. I really liked the track the rate is 9 out of 10. Keep going Segadoras!
