With fierce anti-war lyrics and trip-hop/heavy rock influences, Indifferentmonkey dropped their single Scream on the 29th of December 2023, introducing their new vocalist Ellie Knowles to the world. A groovy irresistible beat, raw distorted riff, and badass expressive vocals, that’s how Indifferentmonkey opened Scream cementing their fun yet heavy sound. Scream has a detailed structure with a bunch of overlapping layers that are cleverly written and arranged, providing a catchy, melodic touch to Indifferentmonkey‘s powerful groove while maintaining their hooking sound that keeps the listeners fully onboard. The dynamic vocal melody kept the flow going and led the song’s interesting twists and turns with its diversity, strengthening Scream’s melodies without losing its unique character and delivery that I believe differentiates Indifferentmonkey‘s sound.
Scream is a solid tune with an exceptional catchy flow and bold sound by Indifferentmonkey, it shows their seasoned writing skills and musicianship as they managed to create such a distinctive structure with interesting melodies and dynamic ups and downs that’d gain them more fans.
