Founded in London in 2018, The Palpitations released a new single entitled Siren. The song is about a patient who succumbs to the depths of drug addiction. The Palpitations’ music is a combination of Dark Wave, Gothic, Post Punk and Alternative Rock.
The track opens with horrifying keys and guitar sounds then the rest of instruments joined with a very clear presence of Bass guitar. There is obvious harmony between different guitars melodies which create a mood of power. I like the performance of the vocals which wander between dark pitch and very energetic one. The electro/ambient sounds played an impressive role to reflect the horrors of the unconscious under the effect of the drugs. Some of the electro sound takes the form of space-like ones to give you the impression of being lost and disconnected! It is a really good track which you need to check it!
