Since the 1980s, the Swedish music scene especially rock and metal bands placed a special place in our hearts. Their unique diversity by delivering different styles like progressive, extreme, melodic, glam, and doom. Today, I will talk about the up-and-coming Swedish metal act PRESSURE and their first single taken from their upcoming debut concept album “Path of a Shadow” which set to be released on Friday, May 7th, 2021. Let’s find out more about these great Scandinavians below!
I doubt that “No One Can Hear You!” won’t catch your ears from the first note. It’s obvious the glorious mix of the old influences with modern metal elements, which pours originality with every single note. The trio consists of the songwriter and lead guitarist Simon “Siirpo” Forsell at the helm, vocalist Olof Jönsson and guitarist Emil Salling to deliver a remarkable melodic epic, you will notice the catchy choruses with strong back vocals, also, I am kind of guys who love it when music and lyrics are aligned, so I was really impressed to find out that these guys are very keen to deliver strong lyrical theme by depending on that there are two sides to every story – the good and the bad. So “No One Can Hear You!” or any other one you will find in their debut album “Path of a Shadow” (Out May 7th, 2021) has a double meaning. Seriously, I cannot understand modern bands these days, well, imagine you’re listening to a rock band without finding a pure melodic guitar tone or insane soloing! It is like a treasure for me when I found guys like PRESSURE to complete the perfect melodic rock/metal picture by providing melodic riffs leading to incredible guitar soloing! Thank you, guys! This is what I really need now for my 2021 library.
