With a satirical album art that features Donald Trump as a clown, “Reverse Evolution” carries a bold statement of mockery to the system with rock, pop, and funk elements.

Executed by Untrue The One Man Band, which is fronted by Jürg Maag, along with a collaboration by Thom Feuz, “Reverse Evolution” takes a dab at the possible re-election of a president who is a “disgrace” to the world.

“I’m a liar, I’m a cheater, that qualifies me as your leader,” sings Maag in the track, which takes off with a catchy drum beat and echoing electric guitar strums that compliment the vocals ever so much. Near the end of the song, a solo ensues before the provocative vocal line pokes fun at Trump.

“The single was recorded in my motorhome,” shared Maag, “Except for the guitar tracks, which came from Thom’s home studio.” He also explained that not all US radio stations were fans of the song, possibly for political reasons, or other motives that had them switching it off.

The song definitely makes you think! The catchy tune gets stuck in your head, and swirls around with provocative thoughts about revolting against the system. Its title suggests that we are simply going backwards not forwards into humanity.

What do you think? Will Trump make it back in the Office? Or will people like Maag be able to break such a toxic pattern?
