“Love Me Loud” is the latest release from Icelandic singer-songwriter Major Pink. The single is a mix of punk rock and electronica in a very bombastic style that matches its defiant and rebellious lyrics. The subject of the lyrics is encouraging women to stand up to the patriarchy and oppression they face in society.

The song begins with an industrial beat and melodic synths that set the tempo and the electronic atmosphere with which the song continues. Shortly after, heavy guitars and gritty vocals join in on the action. Major Pink‘s vocals go from being distorted and raspy to being a sweet and passionate mixed voice during the chorus. I really loved the incredible breath control he shows here and the way he riffs and plays around with the melody.

The song relies on that punk-ish guitar sound with a matching bassline and those dark electronic drum beats to keep the pace powerful and rebellious for the whole duration of the track.

The bridge changes the melody a little bit and makes things more exciting and then it flows into the last chorus, which was also sung differently than the previous ones. I really loved the variety that makes such a short track unpredictable but also likable and highly replayable.

All in all, the song channels pop-punk, alternative rock, and even nu-metal at certain points. The amount of variety however doesn’t rule out how the song’s uproaring vocals and lyrics match with its aggressive sound. This song is set to succeed as a commercial hit for sure, and it will become a favorite for those touched by its brutally honest social commentary.
