The second original single from Australian artist Harlow Reign is out on all platforms now, and it is titled ‘Long Way Home’. The song is an anthemic indie pop/indie rock tune with a gripping beat and powerful melodies reminiscent of the style of bands like Bastille and Arctic Monkeys

With the starting drums and layered vocals on the song, I could already tell this would become an iconic anthem. It’s due to Harlow’s amazing and lengthy vowels, and the way she enunciates them. The moment we reach the chorus we hear some of the same notes as the intro but in a different mood or a variation of sorts. It’s a beautiful song and all of its melodies feel so connected and coherent with one another.

The piano and drums have an organic sound, whereas the guitars and electro elements feel modern and a bit outlandish, and that beautiful juxtaposition forces you to listen to the song more than once to wrap your head around all the layering, harmonizing and extra melodies that make up these vocal lines and make the instrumental melodies what they are.

In conclusion, Long Way Home is a beautiful and iconic song, and it is far developed and rich considering it’s only Harlow Reign’s second original single. At first listen you’d think she’s been around for years and ask yourself where has this wonderful lady been my entire life. Go check out the song on all platforms now, and I promise you won’t regret it.
