‘Lone Wolf’ is so catchy it might be virulent. With an infectious riff, creeping and edgy, a drum part that’s endlessly attractive, and all the grittiness in the world, the latest single by Social Gravy is effortlessly cool.

Based in Los Angeles, Social Gravy is the brainchild of Belarusian musician Vee Bordukov and British producer and songwriter Brad Kohn. Together, the duo is capable of rousing so much noise with so much style, and ‘Lone Wolf’ is an effortless display of the caliber of rock goodness the duo is operating on.

Rather repetitive, ‘Lone Wolf’ is minimal in composition, leaving a lot of space for the remainder of the elements to do the work, and they readily do. For little over 2 minutes in length, ‘Lone Wolf’ is impactful and hectic, a never-know-what-hit-them song. In spite of this, the song manages to maintain a consistent level of “cool” throughout. Mostly due to the simplistic, sleazy, and thick-sounding guitar riff, the gritty and soulful vocals, a monstrous drum part with so many stylish fills, and ultimately, a mix that’s extremely efficient, balanced, and just simply good.

‘Lone Wolf’ is an extremely catchy testament to a whole array of talents the guys from Social Gravy possess. Drawing inspiration from icons such as The Black Keys and Soundgarden, Social Gravy sounds positively like nobody else.
