An unconventional smorgasbord of influences and sounds, nasmore’s latest release ‘Little Monster’ is everything but a monster. Instead, an oddity that is a testament to his and to Ariana Celeano’s creative musical minds and passion for the unconventional.

Hailing from Regina, Canada, nasmore’s music always gives us an adrenaline rush. Creative and unconventional, nasmore is a musician who is not afraid to take a genre to its absolute creative limit, which is the case on ‘Little Monster’… with a handful of genres. We spot metal, art rock, industrial, and out of all things, strong elements of tango.

What nasmore was going for with ‘Little Monster’ is, in our heads’ something cinematic. After all, tango is a standout musical color that will always paint itself over whatever colors are next to it. So, putting tango next to metal will give us tango, putting it next to industrial will give us -yes, you guessed it, tango. Using melodic ques that are whimsical in nature using synths, nasmore embeds the song in a peculiar feel that is then contrasted by Celaeno’s arresting vocal delivery, nothing whimsical about it, just melodic, powerful, and controlled. He then proceeds to create a backing that is dominated by distorted guitar screeches, industrial electronic effects, and pounding drums mayhem. Putting it all together we find an interesting listen that endures and grows on you the more you listen.

As usual, nasmore did not disappoint with ‘Little Monster’. He has given us another creative cauldron of ideas that are well put together, well balanced and mixed, and with a solid musical core.
