New York based 5 piece hard hitting rock band Takeover releases their latest single “Lambdas”, a tough yet, sweet melodic powerhouse of a song that even takes on the topic of being young and reckless…a moment in our lifetimes that we can really look back on and appreciate, or bask in it and enjoy it.

Lead by bassist Alex Black and joined by singer Dylan Hemingway, drummer Matt Gallub, lead guitarist Mark Fischer and Mitch Etchason on rhythm guitar, the awesome five found each other through the serendipity of life and destiny, and we’re glad the stars aligned so we could enjoy the great music these guys create.

“Lambdas” already starts off on a powerful note…and Takeover manages to keep the energy up throughout the whole song, a not so simple feat…while also exceeding this already high bar they’ve set and go beyond with powerful musical buildup and explosive choruses.

The vocals soar high, intertwining with the lead guitar licks…

…the powerful bass, banging drums and the huge rhythm guitar lock tightly acting as the musical locomotive to the whole experience…

“Lambdas” is really the sum of all its parts, with each member really putting his soul into this release, every bit of emotion is palpable, and in the end, creating a one-of-a-kind melodic and lyrical experience.

We wish all the best to the awesome people of Takeover, the musical force is strong with this one.

Cheers!
