Started back in 2012 by singer/songwriter/guitarist Ashley Wolfe, Blind Man’s Daughter came to life in 2022 when she moved to Albuquerque and started working with local musicians after years of working on her music. Between November 2022 and February 2023 Blind Man’s Daughter completed their album Sundressed, a storm of melodies with a top-notch modern progressive sound, and today we’re gonna review their song Kyhell which was out on the 23rd of June 2023. Let me tell you more about it.
With atmospheric vocals and purely melodic complex guitars, Blind Man’s Daughter opened Kyhell promising a heavy progressive journey. Blind Man’s Daughter’s riffs have a unique sound, it’s well-written in a way that takes into consideration many aspects including the used effects and how emotionally hard they hit. Kyhell has some brilliant multi-layered guitar work with an extremely dynamic smooth flow, it was beautifully arranged with the deep bass and insanely interesting drums into one big unstoppable sound, and all topped by Ashley Wolfe’s theatrical expressive vocals that keep on pushing forward with the music towards more dramatic twists and turns.
Kyhell shows Blind Man’s Daughter’s musicianship, writing skills, and a good sense of melody and dynamics. They started big with large sounds and overwhelming melodies, then managed to skillfully steer the song’s flow keeping the listeners hooked without compromising their energy or emotional flow. Looking forward to more from you guys, keep on rocking. Cheers!
