Johnny Majestic brings a blend of avant-garde and futuristic sound to create a fresh and modern take on the retro influences that inspired his career. He began his musical journey at a young age in Prague, where he was born, steadily moving from classical piano to the 80s sounds of KISS and Mötley Crüe. Now calling LA home, Majestic is working on a six-song EP, whilst garnering traction for his recent singles and performances, including an upcoming American Idol audition and international tours.
Johnny Majestic recently dropped the video for his high-octane party single ‘EVERYBODY LIKES ME!’, further embracing his distinctive blend of dance grooves, hyperactive synthesisers and glam-rock riffs with a gloriously colourful rendition.
The track is supremely witty, the essence of blind confidence in the face of well-hidden self-consciousness fires up playful lyricism, with moments of genuine self-reflection only appearing for a moment before giving way to the glamour and shine of presenting your best self.
Everything in the video is designed to be eye-catching, from the outfits to the locations to the editing, it’s all bright, vibrant and attention-grabbing. A great match for a dynamic single
Johnny explains, “I wrote and recorded the demo for “Everybody Likes Me!” after a night of just acting like an absolute buffoon. I tried getting into a fight at a friend’s party (in a very drunken and awkward way)- and it was also at a time when I just went through a breakup and had a very f**k it approach to basically everything- which is basically what I’m singing about in the song. Specific instances of that, being a drunk high mess that’s getting into fights and breaking people’s hearts. I felt like a pink humanoid cat was a good representative of all those feelings.”
