Revealing a punk-ish side that’s cleverly mixed with nu-metal and a touch of pop rock, the LA-based rockers Love Ghost dropped their latest single Hollywood Blvd. on the 1st of December 2023 in collaboration with Go Golden Junk. Let me tell you more about it.
Using fluid emotional guitar melodies and smooth warm vocal melodies, Love Ghost opened Hollywood Blvd. preparing for a mellow, laidback tune coming ahead. I loved how these guys decided to tune things down a little bit in Hollywood Blvd., keeping their unique fresh energy alive as they led us through smooth and subtle dynamic shifts that were strengthened by their highly melodic guitars and groovy flow. The guitars were cleverly layered in a way that made them totally effective, especially with the licks and solos creating the perfect atmosphere for such a soothing flow, while the diverse vocal deliveries by Love Ghost‘s Finnegan Bell and Go Golden Junk added a deeper textured layer that maintained the song’s organic, unpredictable flow.
Hollywood Blvd. is another solid hit by Love Ghost that went on an impressive creative streak this year. Steering towards a more emotionally soft direction while keeping their core sound alive, Love Ghost proved that they have a lot more to offer as they continue pushing their sound boundaries further.
