The Sound of Mountains releases the 3rd single “Heal My Rage”…one of 9 songs on an upcoming full-length album release…”Heal My Rage” brings fans of instrumental post-rock together, and if you’re a fan of Mogwai or Explosions in the Sky…you’re in post-rock heaven here with The Sound of Mountains creative musical experiences…

Christopher Morin writes and performs almost all music, with some occasional contributions on bass guitar or violin from other artists.

This song has the contribution of artist Luke Schoepf on bass guitar.

“Heal My Rage” is a 5-minute track that is excellently paced…you’ll always get the perfect balance of establishing melodies, ambience, and buildup…

…speaking of the buildup, “Heal My Rage” starts the build-up from the very first second…and very cleverly, the buildup keeps morphing, and evolving tiny bit by tiny bit, till it reaches a boiling point of hard-hitting guitar riffs and powerful drum parts…speaking of which, the drums were recorded at Blackngold Studio in Whittier, CA, while all other instruments were all recorded at Morin’s home studio in Sherman Oaks, California.

What really surprised me is what came after the musical climax…

The track manages to maintain the energy for quite some time, evolving and morphins elements while maintaining the core melody…

…and with the ending, it is where everything settles down once again, beautifully crafted.

Wishing all the best to the great artist, looking forward to the release of the full-length album.

Cheers!
