Closing out the year with a dynamic new release, Harri Pick unveils the new single ‘Just A Crush’. Following the intensity of her late summer anthem ‘Call Back Home’, the new track leans into the light, blending familiarity with a contemporary edge.
The electrifying emotions of attraction and young love are captured in a bottle, the instrumentation itself mimicking the push and pull of figuring out your emotions, desire and restraint competing for the top spot. Harri’s signature alternative drive makes appearances when necessary, packing a punch worthy of a stadium but the sheer euphoria of the vocal introduces a new and emotive layer, weaving the relatable but painful themes into infectious power-pop.
“Just a Crush delves into the complexities of attraction – feeling those urges for connection but wrestling with the idea of holding back,” Harri explains in her own words. ”It was a fun shift to create this after my previous release‘Call Back Home’ which was a bit more intense and angry, instead of offering a lighter and more playful energy and sound!”
Harri has already established herself as a rising in the UK music scene. Releasing her debut EP via AWAL back in 2021, she has since brought energetic live performances and accolades from BBC 6Music to her name, with more to follow in the new year.
