Italian indie duo Go Hawaii have unveiled their latest single, ‘Days Wasted’, the second track since their return, teasing a new EP in 2025. It follows ‘Auburn’, a track with a post-punk inspiration, and dives into the world of dream pop once again with a blend of modernity and nostalgia.

With a bright and breezy backbeat and seemingly infinite layers of ethereal guitar, the lush, angelic quality of instrumentation in the airwaves plays into the more sombre, reflective and gloomy vocals. The shimmering Lo-Fi aesthetics with their unique sound balances the harmonious with the foreboding, the shadow with the radiance.

When we wrote this song, we wanted to create a dream pop ballad, inspired by some of the records that came out in the early 2010s,” the band shares. “We aimed for something very sweet and dreamy, but we also wanted to give it our own personal touch. That’s where the bridge comes in—we decided to disrupt the flow a little bit, shaking things up for the listener. We can’t just stick to a single genre or follow a standard formula; we always need to add our twist. That balance between the dreamy vibe and our unique touch is how the song came to life.”

Forming in 2016 near Venice, Go Hawaii built its reputation on a mix of bedroom songwriting and unique creative blends. Releasing their debut Trespass in 2022, they brought sonic versatility, and on stage they’ve become known for delivering vibrant performances.
