If I ask you right now, what is your favorite Latin Rock song, what would you say? Honestly, I highly doubt you’ll have an answer, because Latin Rock is surely something new that one should begin to explore! Rollin Thorne (and nope not Rolling Stones) has recently dropped his latest release, Fascnatión. A release that will take you back to the golden era of 80s rock and roll, and at the same time adding an interesting contemporary flare to the genre. There sure is some “fascination” in this track!

Right from the song’s intro, the drum brake instantly draws you in and grabs your attention, and not so long after this great intro, you’re right away captivated by a smooth introduction of a synths line. It is smoothly and gradually introduced to the track adding a very distinct cinematic dimension to the song. Not something you would really expect in a rock and roll kind of release. One must also say that listening to a rock song sung in Spanish is quite refreshing. I would say that this could especially draw in people who are not necessarily into rock that much, but they might be interested in Spanish culture and Latin music in general. It’s always great to see such fusions and musical blends. It keeps the creativity going.

Without a doubt, this song is innovative and has a very nice retro vibe to it. The artist’s passion for the classic sound of 80s rock is evident in this release, and it is also a testament to the timeliness of good old rock. It is true that good music never dies. Thorne has managed to create a very unique combination of nostalgia and at the same time modernism, which speaks volume to his talent and very innovative vision.

The artist began his journey in 2019 when he gained recognition as a semifinalist in the prestigious International Songwriting Competition (ISC) with his debut single, My Heart in Your Hands. Ever since, he has been wholeheartedly dedicated to developing his unique craft. He successfully managed to have one of his albums mastered at the renowned Abbey Road Studios in the UK where artists such as the Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Radiohead have recorded. Thorne is surely walking the footsteps of the greats!
