Nashville-based progressive rock n’ roll band Roxercat will release their debut EP “Pearls” on the 13th of January.

With a heartwarming message about love through change, Roxercat’s 6 track EP “Pearls” explores various themes through their unique brand of progressive rock, inspired by both classic and modern rock.

The EP has the best of both worlds, because it takes a lot of its sound from classic rock influences in its songwriting and tone, yet modernity overflows with complex and advanced ideas weaved into each song.

Roxercat is led by a veteran trio of singer Price Jones, guitarist Stan Lassiter, and bassist Bill Francis. Price Jones’s mature songwriting and soulful vocal performance shine on each track of “Pearls” , while Stan Lassiter’s bluesy licks and masterful lead guitar work capture an incredibly expressive range of emotions through each bend and vibrato, and it can’t go without mentioning that Bill Francis’ bass lines glue all of it together while always staying in pocket with the drums.

The production of Roxercat’s “Pearls” is something to aspire to for any rock musician. The mix and engineering work on the record is crystal clear, punchy, and full, with ear candy on each track from wide vocal harmonies to classic rock organs and other sonic flavours, big and small.

Songs seamlessly transition from one to the next on this record, which is a testament to Price Jones’s intelligent and deliberate songwriting, and it is highly encouraged to listen to this EP start to finish, as it was intended as a full experience.

Roxercat’s debut EP is a must listen for fans of bluesy, progressive, classic soul rock, and with this release coming after two released and well received singles featured on the “Pearls” EP, including the title track, I’ll be following Roxercat as they revitalise classic rock.
