Seattle-based artist Shaker Bloomheart and his band brings the world a new alt-rock pop experience that soars high above any expectation…their latest 2 track EP “Nobody’s Perfect and So Can You”.
First thing…that title…it made my mind go in circles…and I just love it because I think it just told me to be who I am…and keep being just…’me’.
Now, let’s take a deep plunge in the EP and experience this new kind of journey
The EP opener, “I Will Rupture and Die,” clocks in at an impressive 15 minutes, offering a dynamic fusion of punk, emo, trip-hop, lo-fi beats, and post-hardcore elements. Despite its expansive duration, the track maintains a remarkable coherence…seamlessly transitioning through time-signatures-galore and sonic landscapes.
From soaring guitars to pulsating basslines and emotive lyrics punctuated by group chants, the song is a whirlwind of emotional intensity and storytelling…infused with ambient textures and occasional acoustic interludes.
In stark contrast, “Leftover Generation,” the EP’s second offering, presents a concise burst of punk-infused pop energy. With its infectious melodies and punchy rhythms, this 2-minute and 45-second song leaves a significant mark on the listener’s psyche, destined to linger for weeks on end.
“Nobody’s Perfect and So Can You” encapsulates Shaker Bloomheart’s evolution as a powerhouse within the underground scene, and with this EP, they demonstrated an unparalleled command of their craft, leaving an enduring impression that resonates long after the final chord fades.
Wishing all the best to the brilliant Shaker Bloomheart and his absolutely banging band…we can’t get enough of these guys.
Cheers!
