Fresh off the release of debut single ‘Jeffrey’, Dublin live-scene extraordinaires Empathy are bringing their cathartic alt-rock sensibilities under a new light in ‘A Dying Breed’.

The four-piece has already turned listeners’ heads at Whelan’s, The Button Factory and The Academy, and tastemakers across Ireland and the UK. However, their career is only just getting started, bringing their experience to new heights on their first recorded tracks.

‘A Dying Breed’ oozes with confidence, they blast out a sense of authentic purity, whilst bashing those who mould themselves for others. Even the title indicates a lonely plight to reset the balance, attempting to light the fire with atmospheric soundscapes turned roaring stadium-filling riffs.

With an EP steadily building, Empathy sells itself as what’s next for the Irish alt-rock scene, pushing through the stereotypical indie atmospheres and emerging with a darker, more provoking sound.

The band adds, “A Dying Breed is a song about the social climbers and sycophants we all brush shoulders with. Status seekers who ultimately burn out fast. We all know them.”
