French artist Dan Szyller just released his latest single “Drifter In The Sun”, an instant hit with a catchy 80s rock theme on the 24th of this month…” Drifter In The Sun” is the first single from the artist’s upcoming album “The Great Escape”…and it’s shaping up to be an album not to be missed.

…did we mention that the song drops with a music video also? Well, yeah, it does…and it’s got extremely high Hollywood production levels, top-notch stuff.

Dan authentically captures the spirit of the 80s with his huge riffs, powerful drum beats, groovy bass lines, and powerful vocals…

…speaking of the vocals, Dan does something very interesting with his performance in “Drifter In The Sun”…

It feels like Dan is channeling two singing personas…one is a true anthemic 80s rock vocal…and the other with a more stage-musical direction.

…when I first experienced this approach, I thought Dan was featuring another artist…then again, I was watching the music video…and there it was…it was Dan himself!

…a very interesting twist on the song…

…and of course, how can an 80s rock experience become complete without an epic mind-blowing guitar solo? it can’t…that’s why Dan plays an absolutely fiery guitar solo with the sea as his background…the visuals along with the solo are iconic…it doesn’t get better than that.
