Parham Gharavaisi, a solo artist and music producer hailing from Tehran, Iran, caught my attention when a colleague reviewed his astonishing melodic extreme metal song “Mirror’s Gaze” on Rock Era last month. Today, let’s delve into one of his latest tracks, “Divided (I Have Become),” featured in his upcoming 10th album titled “Ghosts of Nations,” set to be released on October 14, 2024.
The song “Divided (I Have Become)” provided me with an incredible experience. In just 3 minutes and 46 seconds, Parham Gharavaisi took me on a musical journey through various genres such as death metal, gothic, metalcore, and even orchestral, all combined with a melodic ambiance. It’s worth noting that he single-handedly writes, records, arranges, and mixes all of his music, showcasing his diverse talents as an artist. I admired how he skillfully used his vocal range to create a beautiful harmony within the entire music production.
One of my top metal tracks is when the guitar melody harmonizes with the vocals. This classic style, popular in the 80s and 90s, appeals to me more than the intricate technical music favored by modern artists, especially in extreme metal genres. I’ve recently added “Divided (I Have Become)” by Parham Gharavaisi to my music collection, and I’m eagerly anticipating new tracks from his upcoming album, Ghosts of Nations. Here’s to great music!
