A brand new song and video just dropped by JP Kennedy. The talented country and folk Rick troubadour is rich with vision, melody, and energy on ‘Den of Iniquity’, his latest stunner.

Based in the town of Ardara in Ireland, JP Kennedy’s clear affinity towards americana and his glaring country flair are based on passion, not nativity. However, Kennedy’s family has its roots deep in the wild American west and its lush tradition, as evidenced by the video which is inspired by Kennedy’s grandfather, who ran saloons in New Mexico and Arizona for 20 years before returning to Ireland.

The video is a rather sweet and cheeky story of JP Kennedy’s romantic pursuit, following the singer as he sings and plays on his jumbo acoustic guitar across many merry bars in different colorful costumes and soulful settings. The melodic ‘Den of Iniquity’ is produced by fellow Irish artist Aisling Jarvis who treats the song with a fulfilling mixing job that places all parts where they belong. From the sweetly wailing violin that accompanies Kennedy’s vocals and guitars throughout the song, to the steady mid-tempo groove, ‘Den of Inequity’ is a balanced and enjoyable offering on both the audio and video levels.

‘Den of Iniquity’ and its video are engaging pieces of folk country and whimsical, warm theatrics driven by Kennedy’s family history. A talented singer and performer, it is no surprise that Kennedy’s latest piece of folk country is as rich as it is, as he is kind of a specialist. Equally soothing and energizing.
