Rye Catchers have just released their first single off of their upcoming full-length studio album. A piece of characterful alternative rock/hard pop led by an astonishingly soaring vocalist from ultra-talented front woman Nikki Simmons, and by endlessly cool bass lines from a legendary bassist.

based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Rye Catchers us a newly formed band composed primarily of songwriter and producer David McClintick Roberts, who features different musicians for his different musical endeavors. For his latest, ‘Creeping On Me’, Roberts is featuring multi-genre session vocalist Nikki Simmons, whose wide-reaching vocal range is in full display through the song’s multiple melodic sections. Moreover, Robers is featuring The famed Tim Lefebvre, whose illustrious portfolio includes work with David Bowie, The Black Crowes, and Elvis Costello.

The resulting song is a dizzying, high-octane affair that’s buzzing with Lefebvre’s pedal note-based bass line, and by Simmon’s searing belts. Rich production from Roberts results in a dynamic sound that ebbs and flows in intensity, but never fails to be compelling throughout, thanks to compelling performances throughout, mixed with the song’s memorable composition.

‘Creeping On Me’ is a rich release of larger-than-life, electrified pop that is a result of the outstanding vision of a talented producer and terrific performances from his outstanding guest list of musicians.
