I want to extend my personal thanks to the emo rock trio Tired of Fighting from Newcastle for their latest impressive track, “Branches.”

It’s a song that came to me during a tough time, you know, when juggling work, new projects, family and health issues, failed relationships, etc. The impactful emo rock trio, Tired of Fighting, captured all my emotions in their latest single, “Branches”. The song inspires you to embrace the present, appreciate your accomplishments, and not dwell too much on the future. “We can’t control the future, but we should enjoy the good times while we can, be grateful for what we have, and also show appreciation for how far we’ve come.”Tired of Fighting explained.

Their press information describes their music as a blend of Paramore‘s energy and The Gaslight Anthem‘s storytelling. However, while these are iconic acts, I respectfully disagree. Tired of Fighting is a remarkable band with its unique qualities. I was captivated by the strong start of “Branches,” which easily grabs any listener’s attention, especially with its harmonious lyrics. Many three-piece bands often lack depth in their music and seem empty, but with Tired of Fighting, I never felt this for a moment. The tightness and harmony in their music are truly impressive.

“It’s a song that acknowledges the scars and experiences that come with aging, where parts of ourselves are lost to the past, yet the resilience to keep fighting is seen as a precious gift,” they remarked. The bridge of the song smoothly transitions into a captivating narrative. As tomorrow is my birthday and with the myriad of questions that accompany aging, “Branches” by Tired of Fighting felt like a personal gift. A heartfelt thank you to the band! This track has definitely earned a spot in my music collection, and I dare say, it’s the best rock single I’ve heard in 2024. Cheers!
