Bottom Again is one of the single most exciting releases in my recent memory. A mammoth of a tune that I will find absolutely no problem coming back to, as well as constantly spam my friends with it for a very long time to come. Let’s find out more

Moonlight Saints, a classic rock trio from Brookfield, Massachusetts, whose sound, while “classic”, is absolutely fresh, endlessly invigorating, and is single-handedly one of the most one-of-a-kind sounds that I have personally ever came across. Bringing back the good old days when you came upon a solid riff, held it tightly in place, and constructed around it a mighty good song.

The trio, bass, guitar, and drums, have hit a gold mine with the groovy, rhythmic riff of Bottom Again, which harkens back to some of Led Zeppelin’s tightest, and most sinister riffs. Abrasively distorted guitar tone is nicely handled and kept at bay in one amazing piece of guitar playing, restrained, tight, and sticking to that bass like super glue, and the solo is clear proof of talent, as it has some of the tastiest phrases that I’ve heard for a very long time. Sounding dry, brash, and in-your-face, that main solo is incredible in every aspect, managing to take a very challenging tone to solo with, and just warping it with finger magic into a ridiculously charismatic piece of lead guitar playing. The rhythm section is solid, laying down a killer groove with effortlessness and savvy grace.

The intimately small room in which the vocals were sung is a secret ingredient of this song, discretely lending the whole track an air of closeness that makes the whole thing sound just as fresh as if it was being played on a tight stage right in front of you. An incredible discovery, soulful, rocking, cool, and endlessly talented. Evan and Will Couture, and Darren Boulrice are a trio that you should be on the lookout for.
