Zoe Briskey

Zoe Briskey will release a banging emo pop rock tune that is out there with all force and honesty called ‘ Better than your boyfriend’ on the 10th of March, one that is nostalgic to the 2010’s sound of emo pop. This song is part of her new upcoming album ‘Ultra Desire’. She’s influenced by artists like Blink-182 and MGK. Zoe is an artist who loves to go into topics about queer love and self-empowerment, which shows in her lyrics and rebellious choices of sonic output.

Like a knife that is freshly sharpened, this song is loud, challenging and powered with female confidence. The song is about a personal relationship with a girl that was in love with a toxic boyfriend and doesn’t know her worth, and Zoe thinks she can fix that by showing her what it really means to love. Flowers are a big motif in this story, which creates the whole vibe of the song. The overall sound of the song is an explosion of high energy and rawness. It’s fast-paced and not sad at all, with a really cool and almost nostalgic musical arrangement. The soundscape is a hardcore electronic pop sound that is infused with an emo popcorn electric guitar and an angry sonical style. The drums go hard, the electric guitar screeches every few seconds with a new verse, and there is a transition to a slower soundscape which keeps the song dynamic and fresh. The vocals are highly processed and also bubbly, with a straightforward edge. Great vibe and we can’t wait for how this EP is going to sound.
