1. David Garrett

No need to introduce! I guess he is the best violinist rock-musician to watch. You can say that he is so specialized in this. He covered Metallica, Nirvana, Queen and Michael Jackson.

2. Rhett Price

He likes having some variety in his works, so you may find pop, soul, electronic, rock and many other styles that were done by a violin. I chose his heaviest, ‘Crazy Train’!

3. The Violution

This awesome instrumental band features a lead violin with drums and bass. The band seems to be inactive lately, but anyhow why don’t you check their cover for Foo Fighter’s ‘Pretender’ and tell me what do you think.

4. The Dueling Fiddlers

These violist rockers did many tributes for Guns N’ Roses, Dave Matthews, Nirvana, AC/DC, Black Eyed Peas, Coldplay and Radiohead. Even though their latest video was 3 years ago, as well as their social pages are kind of inactive, they still have some fans till now.

5. Staccato Live a.k.a Staccato

This violin/cello duet doesn’t only focus on rock, as they covered for David Guetta and Rude’s ‘Magic’, they also covered Guns N’ Roses’ ‘Sweet Child O’Mine’ and The Eagles ‘Hotel California’.

6. Cristina Kiseleff

Recently, we see orchestral string instruments musicians covers modern music like pop, rock and even metal. Kiseleff is one of these musicians but she is so talented as well, and sometimes hard to be compared. Her channel is so live with cover songs, whatever your favorite genre is, I guarantee that you will find it there. Check one of my favorites below.

7. Frisco Violin Girl

As I mentioned earlier that we got used to see collaboration among orchestral string instruments but here’s another type: Electric guitar and violin. You can find on her channel covers for Metallica, Dio, Iron Maiden, Michael Jackson, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and Yngwie Malmsteen. Also, she did a nice piano cover for ‘Sweet Child O’Mine’.

8. Martha Psyko

I love her vibes! She has a real nice taste of variety as well as the way of performing. My favorites are ‘Nothing Else Matters’, ‘Master of Puppets’ and the most covered, ‘Sweet Child O’Mine’!

9. The Dirge Duet

As they seem inactive for a while, they did some nice tributes. The violin and guitar duet performed many tributes for Black Sabbath, Guns N’ Roses, Sting, Metallica, The Doors, Nirvana and many else. My favorites are ‘Don’t Cry’ and ‘Paranoid’.
