California has always been home to some of the most unique and stunning new waves, both musical and literal…and now, with the new Cali sensational supergroup The Project.

Led by acclaimed guitarist James Davis, the band combines classic hard rock with elements of pop to create an exciting and fresh sound.

Their highly anticipated debut album, “Best Days,” is set to release on October 20th, 2023. The lead single, also titled “Best Days,” gives listeners a taste of the album’s throwback sound with a modern twist.

With influences ranging from Black Sabbath to Smashing Pumpkins, Rush, and Blink-182, The Project showcases their diverse talent and promises an electrifying collection of songs. Produced by Dennis Hill and engineered by Steven Barnett and Mike Troolines, the album is a testament to the band’s dedication and hard work. Stay tuned for more exciting updates from The Project!

Now, getting to the debut song that is the spark of what will come…” Best Days”…

The song is a sunshine and sea cali rock song…that’s a new genre I just created for “Best Days”…it’s the kind of song that instantly stimulates one’s taste buds and smell, then takes you through its multi-sensory stimulation to California…

From the powerful intro of drums and guitars syncopated and perfectly crafted onslaught…

…to the laid-back yet upbeat verses, James’s vocals shine through perfectly…

…the clean guitars in the background feel like the ocean waves, strumming with a flow…

The sonic and tonal balance of “Best Days” is top-notch, among the best of’em…and it’s also a walk down memory lane, with its melodic character sharing some DNA with the icons of the 2000s, especially with its musical energy and powerful performance.

The album was recorded at Arrowhead West Studio in Rancho Cucamonga, California; and produced by Dennis Hill, (who has worked with such acts as Face to Face, Sammy Hagar, Montgomery Gentry, The Poor Boys and Lefty to name a few), and co-produced and engineered by Steven Barnett of Pump5, mixed and mastered by Mike Troolines, (Los Lobos, Ignite and Righteous Brothers).

Wishing all the best to The Project and can’t wait for me and for the whole world to enjoy the full power of the album when it comes out.

Cheers!
