Mixing their modern and classic influences, This Silent Divide kickstarted Beautiful Creature with mood booster drum lick and an energetic melody with deep heavy bass, grabbing the listener’s attention right from the beginning. Beautiful Creature‘s solid sound and structure blew my mind, it has a carefully crafted progression that keeps on building up to smooth seamless shifts, taking us on an enjoyably dynamic roller coaster with extremely hooking sound. I loved This Silent Divide‘s guitar work and the way it was layered and arranged, guiding the structure towards a bigger and more open sound with on-point timing and mood, and creating a subtle conversation with the powerful catchy vocal melody resulting in both leading the song’s flow through twists and turns that kept it interesting and organically evolving.
Beautiful Creature is a cool introduction to This Silent Divide‘s world, it shows their clever writing and musicianship and how they used them to create a catchy powerful tune without over-complicating things or compromising their sound. Those guys know very well when to hit hard and when to slow things down to resonate with the listeners before sending them off their seats again, all in a smooth flow with powerful well-written melodies.
