Elective Theatre is an American alternative group that represents deep human topics through a mellow style. I will focus today on two of their singles ‘Solemn Island’ and ‘False Start.’
The mood of ‘Solemn Island’ is taking you on a gentle journey through an emotive vocal with an interesting theme about facing the world alone “A song about facing the world on your own. Not turning back at the smallest sign of trouble or hardship. At the same time questioning your abilities and motives. No matter what you choose, you’re likely to simultaneously face a win as well as a loss.” – the band explained.
I love the beats here more in ‘False Start’ and the music tightness, and I really like the singer’s ability to change different vocal styles to deliver the idea of the track. Did you evaluate yourself after a relationship and through different methods to make things work? This track is mainly about “Dwelling on the things you could have done differently, but realizing there is no road back to where you once were with each other. Accepting the state of denial as a necessary step to move forward with life.” – Elective Theatre explained.
