Indie rockers Arkayla have taken their Manchester hometown by storm, selling out their performances, receiving nods from BBC Radio 6 and Radio X, and climbing iTunes alt-charts. Currently embarking on a UK tour, supporting the likes of The Lilacs and Seb Lowe, Arkayla is branching out on a national scale.
As part of their debut, four-track EP, Arkayla unveiled the gently laid-back sway of the new track ‘Ella Malone’. Joining indie fizzers ‘Falling Down’, ‘Rita’ and ‘Lost In A Valentine’, the quartet bring a vintage feel and graceful vocal harmonies.
With broad influences and a clear penchant for diverse story-driven songwriting, Arkayla is carving a path for the future of modern rock, with a look back to the past.
The band adds, “Anyone who has been a long time follower of our band knows just how long this song has been around. We first wrote it back in 2018 before we even had a clear vision for what we would be as a group. It’s been a fan favourite at all our live shows, in fact I don’t think we’ve ever played a gig without it. To finally be able to say it’s out now after all these years is just mad. we hope you love it as much as we do.”
