A rhythmically twisting and adventurously groovy new release from a South Carolina-based band who knows how to deliver an immediately catchy earworm, ‘America’ is an infectious piece of rock that got us hooked from the very first bars.

Based in Aiken, South Carolina, For You Brother is a band composed of John Davis, Jean Carlos, and Phil Noah. Their intense musicality has been honed throughout the years as they are childhood friends, and it shows in full colors on ‘America’, their latest single.

The fantastic single is -first and foremost- terrifically recorded and mixed. The sublime balance on the sound is beautiful to behold. Then there is the song itself, focused on a rhythm that’s a pounding part in 6/8 time with vocals that largely roam free on top, confident and flamboyant. The guitar riffs are glamorous and incredibly colored. The lines are descending and ominous, while being impactful and rich with their rock overdriven tone. The chorus is one hell of a catchy affair, suddenly injecting the song with a somber and serious melody, departing from the edginess of the descending riff on the verses.

‘America’ is a truly wonderful single. For You Brother are an extremely capable trio with sublime musicality that is on full, glaring display on the song. A fantastic experience.
