“I really want listeners to be drawn to the detailed lyrics and the themes of the songs,”Robert Wagner, the frontman of the Little Wretches stated. Actually, I totally agree with him regarding their music and singing style. The lyrical themes are pretty nice and are like poems from different ages, and the same for the singing style which reminds me of the ’80s – which is relevant to the band’s formation. Frankly, I didn’t like the music that much, I felt it’s kinda empty, or maybe the issue is with the arrangement itself. I cannot deny that each instrument line is amazing indeed, still, when you listen to all instruments together you feel like they are just atmosphere music for the singer. In fact, I went into other songs in the same album, I felt the same, still, the vocals and lyrics are the strongest elements over here. Unlike when you listen to All of My Friends original version in “Undesirables and Anarchists,” oh! I loved it so much! It’s energetic, well-performed, and marvellous arrangement. Overall, their music is brilliant for sure, and you know it’s a matter of taste that it’s different from one to another. Anyhow, check it out below and let me know what do you think!
