Breathing new alt-rock life into the music scene is Chloe Mogg, the Worcestershire, UK-based artist is flipping the proverbial musical table and disrupts the scene with her album “The Crazy One”.
Chloe’s been working on this album for the last 6 years…so as we’d expect, it’s top notch to say the least.
The artist has received awesome traction and recognition that includes receiving big love from EARMILK, Planet Rock, New Noise Magazine and her single “Heaven Sent You” also reaching Number #1 on Banks Radio in Australia.
So now, after Chloe raising the bar for everyone, including the artistic brand that carries the name “Chloe Mogg”…the release of the album “The Crazy One” is here to raise it even more…
The album is made of 11 songs full of alt-rock mojo and Chloe’s charismatic presence.
“The Crazy One” starts with a song that sets the playing field and it’s the album’s title song…awesome riffs, awesome vocal performance, the energy is through the roof…and all within a very heavy and very melodic context…exquisite.
The album continues the energy drive with the second song “Permission”…once again, very strong and charismatic musical presence…the guitars, drums and vocals all gel perfectly together…with a little surprise near the end of the song…mixing it up on another level, it’s like they said ‘let’s let loose’…and it works perfectly.
Chloe also explores the unusual and boundary-pushing musical and percussive elements in her third track “Bryony”…this song has a very unique rhythmic approach…yet still maintaining a strong melodic presence and a stage musical-like performance…interesting.
The album has some moments where it mixes up the energy and goes from heavy riffing to very relaxing organs and slide guitars…that’s evident with the song “Parrot”…a trippy rock experience that changes the emotional dynamics of the album…
Chloe continues exploring different directions like folk and shoe-gaze-inspired slow rock…the melodies don’t repeat, don’t end…if this album was 30 songs we’d still get as many unique melodies as much…Chloe has the amazing ability to create infinite melodies, it’s like a superpower.
We’re not going to spoil the whole album, you’ll need to jump in and experience this rollercoaster of emotions yourself…it’s a journey.
“The Crazy One” is a complete package of many melodies, many riffs, many beats, a lot of energy and power…this is one treasure chest of rock music that needs to be experienced many times.
“The Crazy One” is engineered and mastered with the help of Alex Vine Ruiz (Swan Studios), the release features Ali Clinton (Conflict Choir, Bernie Marsden from Whitesnake, Uli Jon Roth), Jack Bowles (Thomas Atlas), George Cook (Thomas Atlas), Chloe’s Dad Ian Mogg & Mirron Webb (RAIN).
Wishing all the best to Chloe and the gang…we can’t wait to see what she comes up with next…but we’re sure it’s going to be amazing.
Cheers!
