Some musicians lean towards making soothing ballads, while others craft full-power headbangers; some have a knack for executing a vintage sound, while others like to keep their music up-to-date. Well, there are these various types of artists, and there is The Midnight Vortex, who can blend all these features together and result in one sonic marvel, as it’s evident in their single, “Addicted To You.”

The Midnight Vortex is a London-based rock outfit that consists of Bri Macanas (on vocals and percussion), Mouad Qach (on lead guitar and backing vocals), Robin Thunders (on lead guitar), Danny Sands (on bass and backing vocals), and Leo Kuma (on drums and backing vocals). The fiery quintet hasn’t been releasing music for a long time, yet it’s notable how proficient, talented, and harmonic they are, with a lot to offer!

“Addicted To You” is an astonishingly tricky single that comes off delicately and progresses wildly, setting the intimate atmosphere on fire. Having a song that kicks off gently and melancholically and then feels like coming to life demonstrates these guys musical prowess and the seamless chemistry between them. The energy in their impassioned performances and in their killer sound makes one wish they were in a live gig and singing along at the top of their lungs to align with Bri’s mind-blowing vocals and to enjoy the zealous instruments to the max.

There’s no particular ingredient that can be pointed out as the star of the show; it’s all working amazingly together to present one coherent, addictive piece. The dynamic accelerando of both vocals and instrumentation and even the sentiments of the lyricism make one unconsciously and gladly immersed in the well-structured sensitivities and the grungy timbre; the vocals are beyond description! Bri has exquisite vocal abilities, and she can effortlessly charm one with her dulcet tone and then completely capture them with her savage ranging; the dense bass lines and the soft riffs hitting the depths are giving the spicy rock vibes that every rock fan digs and craves; and the head-hitting percussion enhances the enthusiasm and makes the tune more contagious.

The song’s theme is about that vulnerable feeling of being under someone’s spell to the extent of addiction, and instead of becoming aware of this edgy trap, one becomes addicted to the band’s music! My only problem with this song is that I’m writing this article before the release date, so I can hit the like button on any music platform! However, if you can read it, this means the song is out, so enjoy it and stay tuned for more upcoming releases!
